Baxter Creek runs beside Needler’s Mill.  You can’t have a Mill without a flowing creek nearby.  Baxter Creek was the reason d’être for the development of mills on this site in Millbrook, Ontario.  It is also home to reintroduced brown trout and is linked to Millpond to the south.  Fishing, walking trails and great scenery are within walking distance of the village.  I just happened to get a great shot of the Creek while I was taking shots of the Mill.  The Natural World often overlaps our human one.  Just outside the borders of this photo are berms and a dam which were used to alter the Creek to make it a slave to our human needs.  I cropped a shot I liked using Pixlr to focus on the natural beauty of this area.
