The Nitty Gritty of my Background
In university, I studied biology and environmental science because of my insane curiosity of the world around me. Having also studied psychology, I have gained some understanding of the origins of that trait (among others that at the present time I refuse to divulge). I worked for many years as a science teacher in Toronto, Ontario and now am an Occasional Teacher working in the local school board. Having three boys, I have had lots of opportunity to get dirty and share my passion of science in a very physical way. My family and I live on nearly 100 acres of the Oak Ridge Moraine area of Ontario. Our hobby farm includes horses, chickens, several cats and of course our loveable dogs Rosco and Tuck. I love teaching and spreading my passion for anything science. In Science Alcove you will recognize that passion in the discovery of science found in the everyday moments of life.
