Scientists have developed theories about our natural world since humankind became curiosity about the workings of the environment. These theories, developed through many observations, are hard to put aside. Humans hold fast to hard-won beliefs but eventually new facts and new observations refine or kill old theories. Classical physics began with Newton’s theory of gravity and the math most of us dreaded in high school – calculus.
